Posted on 19/11/2025The Security Council resolution does not pave the way to a Palestinian state — but it does pave the way to a strategic pact between Saudi Arabia and the United States. The resolution reflects Riyadh’s interests, wrapped in Trump’s plan and backed by Israel. Israel’s unwillingness to confront the consequences of the Gaza war or take responsibility for rebuilding the strip forced it to accept the Saudi option. -
